Upazila-Level Youth Street Dialogue Held in Shibganj
An “Upazila-Level Youth Street Dialogue” was organized in Shibganj Upazila of Chapainawabganj district under the Resilience, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Improvement (RELI) project of the Social Development Foundation (SDF). The event was held at the Mubarakpur High School ground on the occasion of Youth Festival–2025.
A special attraction of the program was the performance of the traditional folk music Gambhira of Chapainawabganj. Through humorous dialogues between the traditional characters Nana and Nati, the importance of technical education in addressing unemployment was highlighted. The Gambhira performance was presented by the popular Chapainokshi Gambhira troupe, featuring Nana–Nati artists enlisted with Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar.
Youth members from various village associations of SDF in Chapainawabganj district, along with cluster and district teams, participated in the program. The road dialogue included a public-awareness rally, distribution of leaflets on youth development, and discussions with local people in nearby markets to raise awareness about SDF’s youth development initiatives and the creation of employment opportunities through technical training for unemployed youth.
