National University Vice-Chancellor meets heads of Cox’s Bazar institutions
An important meeting was held with the heads of various educational institutions affiliated to the National University in the district with the aim of improving the quality of higher education in Cox’s Bazar and bringing administrative dynamism.
The meeting was held on Saturday (January 24) at the Teachers’ Council meeting room of Cox’s Bazar Government College.
The meeting was chaired by Cox’s Bazar Government College Principal Professor Abul Hasnat Md. Mofizul Haque and was attended by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the National University, Professor Dr. A.S.M. Amanullah, as the chief guest.
The university’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor Md. Nurul Islam and Treasurer Dr. ATM Zafrul Azam spoke as special guests.
Also present at the meeting were Cox’s Bazar Government College Vice-Principal Professor Md. Ohidul Islam, Teachers’ Council Secretary Muhammad Ullah, and principals and heads of institutions affiliated to the National University.
Speaking as the chief guest, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Amanullah said, “Our main goal is to transform the National University into a modern, research-based and student-friendly institution.
We have undertaken a series of reform activities to ensure administrative transparency, fast service delivery and academic quality.”
He further said that it will be possible to upgrade the National University’s education system to a timely and international standard only through the combined efforts of teachers and heads of institutions.
The heads of institutions participating in the meeting expressed their opinions on various problems existing in the management of educational programs, examination management, publication of results, online services and academic autonomy. At this time, the Vice-Chancellor listened to their statements carefully and assured practical solutions.
The participants expressed the opinion that the exchange of views is being considered a fruitful and promising initiative for the development of the higher education system in Cox’s Bazar district.
