BGB strengthens border patrols and searches in Jashore ahead of national elections the Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) has strengthened its activities to maintain border security and law and order situation normal in view of the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election 2026.
As part of this, the Jashore Battalion (49 BGB) is conducting extensive search and patrol activities in various important places in the district in addition to the border areas.
According to information published on January 24, 2026, temporary check posts are being set up and searches are being conducted in various places in Jashore ahead of the elections.
At the same time, the BGB is on alert to prevent any kind of sabotage by miscreants through regular mobile patrols.
BGB sources said that intelligence surveillance has been further strengthened in important and risky areas of the border so that no vested interest group can destabilize the peaceful environment of the country on the occasion of the elections.
In this regard, Lieutenant Colonel Saifullah Siddiqui, Commander of Jashore Battalion (49 BGB), said that this campaign of BGB will continue until the election period to complete the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections in a free, fair, peaceful, neutral and festive atmosphere.
He further said that the BGB is always on the highest alert to ensure the security of the people.
