A sixty-year-old woman died after being hit by a truck in Rangamati

A sixty-year-old woman named Momena Begum (60) died on the spot after a truck overturned in the TV Kendra area of Rangamati city on Friday morning. The deceased’s village is Comilla.
Police, hospitals and locals said that at around 10 am on Friday, a rice-laden truck (Chatt Motro-T, 11-0693) was climbing a hill on the Rangamati-Chittagong road in the TV Kendra area of Rangamati city when the truck overturned and the one passenger in the back crashed into the CNG autorickshaw. At this time, four (3) of the five (5) passengers including the driver in the CNG were able to get out, but the elderly female passenger got stuck in the CNG and died on the spot when the truck hit her. Upon receiving the news of the accident, the Rangamati Kotwali Police Station and Fire Service reached the spot and recovered the body of the elderly woman at 10:50 am and took it to Rangamati General Hospital. The deceased elderly woman, Momena Begum, is the wife of the deceased Raihan Uddin of Kalipur area of Chauddagram Police Station in Comilla district. She lived in a rented house in Manikchhari area, not far from Rangamati city.
Dr. Shawkat Akbar Khan, Resident Medical Officer of Rangamati General Hospital, said that the body of a woman who died in the accident has been brought. The body will be handed over to the relatives of the deceased after the autopsy.

Jasim Uddin confirmed the truth of the accident and said that a woman died in a road accident. The body has been sent to the morgue for post-mortem after recovery. Further legal arrangements are being made.
