District Imam Conference to Promote Referendum and Inspire Voters in Netrakona
A district imam conference was held in Netrakona to promote the referendum and inspire voters. The Netrakona District Administration and Islamic Foundation organized this imam conference at the local public hall at 11 am on Wednesday.
Deputy Director of Netrakona Islamic Foundation Md. Shah Alam presided over the conference and Deputy Education Officer Abul Khair Mohammad Muktashim Billah moderated, Deputy Commissioner Md. Saifur Rahman addressed the conference as the chief guest.
Superintendent of Police Md. Tariqul Islam, Deputy Director of District Information Office Al Faisal, District Election Officer Mohammad Tofail Hossain addressed the conference as special guests. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rafiquzzaman delivered the welcome address.
The invited scholars were represented by Jamia A Miftahul Uloom Madrasa Muhtamim Maulana Abul Kashem, N Akand Kamil Madrasa Principal Mohammad Abdul Baten, Dugia Abbasia A U Fazil Madrasa Principal Abul Fattah Md. Mohiuddin.
The speakers at the conference called on the Imams, Muazzins, and scholars to campaign and vote in favor of a yes vote in the next national parliamentary elections to eliminate all forms of discrimination, irregularities, corruption, extortion, terrorist activities, and to build a hunger-free, illiterate, happy, and prosperous Bangladesh.
At the end of the conference, the President of the District Imam Association, Maulana Md. Alauddin, conducted a special prayer, wishing for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of the country.
