Vote ‘Yes’ in the referendum to preserve the spirit of the July Revolution – Syeda Rizwana Hasan
Syeda Rizwana Hasan, advisor to the interim government, has called for a ‘yes’ vote in the upcoming referendum to turn the spirit of the July Uprising and the desire for reforms into reality.
She made this call as the chief guest at the ‘Motivation and Exchange Meeting on the Occasion of the Referendum and the Thirteenth National Parliament Election’ organized by the Rajbari District Administration on Tuesday (January 20) afternoon.
The meeting organized by the Rajbari District Administration was attended as the chief guest by: Syeda Rizwana Hasan, advisor to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Ministry of Water Resources and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
In the meeting, she highlighted the importance of reforms and said that the main goal of the current government is to bring balance of power and ensure accountability in all state institutions.
Advisor Syeda Rizwana Hasan gave a long and emotional address to the voters. She said that we want to build a new Bangladesh by bringing balance to power and ensuring accountability in all state institutions.
If we vote ‘yes’ in this referendum, the obstacles to exercising our rights as citizens of the country will be removed forever. The spirit, the dream, and the intense desire for change that our youth had in the July coup—we will be able to lay the foundation for that change through this referendum.
She also said, “I would like to appeal to everyone to participate in the referendum. A historic opportunity has come before us to change the country positively. Make good use of this opportunity. In favor of reforms, in favor of change and in honor of the martyrs of the July Revolution, seal the referendum with the ‘yes’ symbol.” The meeting was chaired by District Administrator Sultana Akhter.
Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Mahbuba Farzana, and Rajbari Police Superintendent, Mohammad Manjur Morshed, were present as special guests. The speakers said that reforms are essential to create an environment for a free, fair and impartial election. And this referendum is one of the means to verify public support for those reforms.
Earlier, Advisor Syeda Rizwana Hasan inspected the activities of a mobile campaign vehicle or ‘Voter Car’ at the Rajbari Shaheed Khushi Railway Maidan. And made voters aware of the rules of voting. And a colorful rally was held to promote the referendum and motivate voters. At the rally The chief guests were: Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Advisor to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Ministry of Water Resources and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The rally from Shaheed Khushi Railway Maidan circled the main road of the city and ended at Yasin High School grounds. During this, the chief guest, advisor, Syeda Rizwana Hasan, in her speech, called on the general voters to participate spontaneously in strengthening the democratic process of the country and forming the right public opinion.
Senior officials of the district administration, members of the law enforcement agencies and people from different classes and professions participated in the rally.
