Martyr President Ziaur Rahman’s 90th birthday celebrated in Kaliganj
A discussion meeting, Milad and Doa Mahfil were held in Kaliganj, Gazipur, on the occasion of the 90th birthday of Martyr President Ziaur Rahman at the initiative of Bangladesh Nationalist Social Cultural Organization (JASAS).
On Monday (January 19) after Maghrib, the discussion meeting on the occasion of the 90th birthday of Martyr President Ziaur Rahman was presided over by Md. Panir Khandaker, member of the convening committee of Upazila JASAS.
Moderated by Upazila Member Secretary Shahadat Hossain Mithu, Salah Uddin Ahmed, founder general secretary of Kaliganj Upazila JASAS and member of the convening committee of Kaliganj Municipality BNP, was present as the chief guest.
Special guests were Upazila Jasas Joint Convener Mobarak Hossain Mridha, Kaliganj Municipality Jasas Member Secretary Shahidul Islam Nannu.
Among others, Upazila Jasas Joint Convener Md. Badal Fakir, Member Liton Mia, Advocate Touhid Islam, Korban Ali, Nur Mizan, Municipal Jasas Acting Convener Baul Liton, etc.
The speakers recalled the patriotism, leadership and contribution of martyred President Ziaur Rahman and said that the future Bangladesh should be built by following his ideals.
Finally, prayers were offered for the eternal peace of martyred President Ziaur Rahman, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, and Arafat Rahman Koko, the youngest son of the Zia family, along with prayers for the restoration of peace, prosperity and democracy in the country and the nation.
Leaders and activists from various levels, including leaders of upazila and municipal Jasas, were present at the time.
