A huge quantity of Indian cosmetics was recovered in a drive by the Sreemangal police station in Moulvibazar. One person has been arrested in this incident.

On Tuesday (January 20), late at night, during a police checkpost in the Kalighat Tea Garden area of ​​Kalighat Union in Sreemangal Upazila, the police stopped a suspicious CNG and searched it.

During this, 3 cartons of Natural Bee One Company’s Pearl Facial Kit 12, Grape Wine Facial Kit 3, Diamond Facial Kit 12, Five Fruit Facial Kit 12, Gold Facial Kit 12, Ges No scars Cream 630 pieces and cosmetics worth Tk 1 lakh 89 thousand were recovered from inside the CNG.

In addition, a CNG autorickshaw was seized for carrying illegal goods and the police arrested the CNG driver Shipon Mia (20).

Sheikh Zahirul Islam Munna, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sreemangal Police Station, said that the estimated market value of the cosmetics and CNG vehicles imported from India illegally is 6 lakh 92 thousand taka. A case has been filed at Sreemangal Police Station under the Special Powers Act in this regard.
