Ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections, the Additional DIG of Police visited Fulchhari police station in Gaibandha as part of on-site monitoring of the law and order situation and assessing the election preparations.

On Tuesday afternoon, Rangpur Divisional Additional DIG (Operations) of Police Shah Momtazul Islam visited Fulchhari police station. Gaibandha Additional Superintendent of Police (B-Circle) Sheikh Muttazul Islam was present with him at the time.

During the visit, the Additional DIG reviewed the overall activities of Fulchhari police station, manpower management, security preparations and the ongoing law and order situation. He inquired about the police station’s register, case-related documents, duty arrangements and patrol activities.

At this time, he instructed to be extremely vigilant to prevent any kind of sabotage, violence and unpleasant incidents centered around the upcoming national parliamentary elections.

He laid special emphasis on performing duties with professionalism, responsibility and complete impartiality before and during the elections. He also called for ensuring the safety of voters and taking all necessary preparations to keep the election environment peaceful.

The Additional DIG also said that the police must always be vigilant and active to maintain the law and order situation under control by gaining the trust of the people.

During the inspection, other officers and members of the police station were present, including the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Fulchhari Police Station, Durul Hoda. They informed the senior officials about the election preparations and ongoing activities.
