Multiple sources have confirmed that the ban list initially had 330 people, but later it was revised and 229 people were banned.

Chittagong Metropolitan Police has identified 330 people as miscreants and banned their entry and stay in the city. CMP issued a public notice in this regard on Saturday (January 17) afternoon.

However, the identity of the person on the list at number 227 was later removed.

Several attempts were made to contact the CMP Commissioner on his Official mobile phone to find out the reason for this, but contact was not possible.

Later, it was found that the person on the list at number 227 was dead. This created a lot of discussion and criticism on social media.

A public notice signed by Chittagong Metropolitan Police Commissioner Hasib Aziz said, “Under the powers conferred by Sections 40, 41 and 43 of the Chittagong Metropolitan Police Ordinance 1978, various miscreants residing in the Chittagong Metropolitan Area have been expelled and members of the said miscreant group have been banned from entering and residing in the Chittagong Metropolitan Area until further instructions are given.”

It said that appropriate legal action will be taken against those who disobey the order.
