Red Crescent distributes winter clothes in Gopalganj
The Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, engaged in the service of humanity, continues to play an important role as always. Their activities in various natural disasters and hostile weather are commendable.
At a time when the helpless, poor and uprooted people are struggling in the severe winter across the country, with the overall support of the Qatar Red Crescent, the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society is earning great praise by distributing winter clothes to the cold-stricken people across the country.
In continuation of that, the Red Crescent Society has distributed winter clothes (blankets) to 500 cold-stricken people in Gopalganj at the initiative of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society.
On Wednesday (January 14) at 11 am, the representative of the Deputy Commissioner of Gopalganj, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Md. Fardeen Khan Prince was present as the chief guest at the winter clothes distribution ceremony in front of the Gopalganj District Officers Club.
The program, moderated by Red Crescent Society’s Gopalganj District Unit Level Officer Biplob Kumar Biswas, featured special guests, including former district Jamaat Ameer Advocate Md. Ajmal Hossain Sardar, and district BNP convener Freedom fighter Sharif Rafiquzzaman.
At that time, Jubo Red Crescent Gopalganj Unit Chief Zobayer Khan and volunteers were present. Later, the invited guests distributed winter clothes (blankets) among the cold-stricken people.
