A drug dealer has been arrested with one lakh pieces of Yaba tablets in a raid by RAB-15 in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar. RAB-15 said that on January 12, 2026, based on a secret information, an operation team of RAB’s CPC-1 (Teknaf Camp) conducted an operation in the Boro Habibpara area of ​​Ward No. 8 of Sadar Union under Teknaf Police Station.

During the operation, a CNG autorickshaw heading to Shahparir Island from Teknaf was stopped at a check post and searched. During the search, 10 packets containing an old red-and-white cartoon with a picture of Gazi Pump were recovered from the cargo compartment behind the passenger seat of the CNG. Each packet contained 500 small airtight poly packets. A total of one lakh pieces of Yaba tablets, 200 in each poly packet, were recovered. At that time, CNG driver Saiful Islam (21) was arrested.

A button mobile phone, one thousand taka in cash and a CNG-powered autorickshaw were seized from him. The arrested Saiful Islam is a resident of Patabari (Hangarghona) area of ​​Rajapalong Union under Ukhia Police Station. His father’s name is Nazir Hossain and mother’s name is Maryam Begum.

RAB further said that further legal action is being taken against the arrested accused, including filing a case under the Narcotics Control Act. It was informed that RAB’s anti-narcotics campaign will continue in the future.
