A discussion meeting and prayer meeting were held in Gopalganj for the repose of the soul of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. The program was organized by the District Sramik Dal in the Gopalganj Palli Bidyut More area on Sunday afternoon.

The program was organized under the initiative of the District Sramik Dal under the chairmanship of Sheikh Abdullah, Member Secretary of Gopalganj District Sramik Dal and moderated by Hasanul Banna, Organizing Secretary of Gopalganj Sadar Upazila BNP. Dr. KM Babar, the BNP-nominated MP candidate for Gopalganj-2 constituency, was present as the chief guest.

In the speech of the chief guest, Dr. KM Babar said, “Begum Khaleda Zia was a vigilant guardian of the democratic rights of the people of this country. Her void can never be filled. The ideals of the national leader are the main motivation for us to move forward today.

At the beginning of the program, the Holy Quran was recited. At the end of the discussion meeting, special prayers and prayers were offered by reciting Surah Fatiha, Ikhlas and Darood for the forgiveness of the departed soul of the late Begum Khaleda Zia. The prayers were led by Imam of Gopalganj Palli Bidyut Samity Mosque Md. Rafiuzzaman.
