Prayer mahfil held at Shibpur Press Club for the repose of Begum Khaleda Zia’s soul
A prayer mahfil was held in Shibpur, Narsingdi, seeking the repose of the soul of BNP Chairperson and three-time former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
The prayer mahfil was held at the Press Club office of the Upazila Muktijoddha Bhaban on Monday (January 5) afternoon, organized by the Press Club.
The event was presided over by the newly elected President of the Press Club, Asaduzzaman Asad, and moderated by General Secretary Mahabub Khan, Former General Secretary of Narsingdi District BNP and Vice President of the District Committee, freedom fighter Alhaj Tofazzal Hossain Master, was present as the chief guest.
Shibpur Upazila BNP President, freedom fighter Abul Haris Rikabder, was present as the special guest.
Among others, former president of the Press Club SM Khorshed Alam and former general secretary SM Ariful Hasan were present.
In addition, vice-president of the Press Club Momen Khan, joint secretary Ajmal Hossain Bhuiyan, sports secretary Dalim Khan, publicity secretary Atabur Rahman Sunny, executive members Nurul Islam Nurchan and Khandaker Amir Hossain and various journalists were present.
The prayer was led by Imam and Khatib of Shibpur Upazila Parishad Mosque Maulana Sheikh Qayyum.
