KM Saifur Rahman honored for special contribution to journalism
Gopalganj Press Club’s Organizing Secretary, human rights and media activist KM Saifur Rahman received the SAFEN-Bangladesh Samachar-2025 Honorary Crest in recognition of his long-standing professional skills with honesty and integrity in journalism.
After earning a master’s degree with distinction, he has been working as a staff reporter for the national daily Bangladesh Samachar newspaper for a long time and as the Gopalganj district correspondent of the national daily Bhorer Darpan, Daily Sangbad Sarabela and The Daily Industry newspapers.
His late father, late Akbar Hossain Kazi, was a proud honest, idealistic and efficient officer of the Bangladesh Police Force.
On Saturday (January 3) afternoon, Dr. Khan Asaduzzaman, editor and publisher of the daily Bangladesh Samachar and The Bangladesh Diary newspapers, presented him with the honorary crest.
In response to receiving the award, KM Saifur Rahman said that he has been doing journalism with professionalism and responsibility in various national and local media for the past 10 years.
Along with this, he is also engaged in various humanitarian activities. He said that this award will further increase his sense of responsibility and inspire him to work for truth and public interest.
