In Sreepur, Gazipur, BNP Chairperson, former three-time Prime Minister and ‘Mother of Democracy’ national leader Begum Khaleda Zia was prayed for forgiveness and cold clothes were distributed among the poor.

On Saturday (January 3) evening, blankets were distributed among more than two hundred helpless and cold-stricken people at Barmi Bazar in Sreepur Upazila under the direction of former Sreepur Upazila BNP President Alhaj Md. Shahjahan Fakir and former Senior Joint Secretary of Barmi Union BNP Roknozzaman Russell Morol.

Former Sreepur Upazila BNP President Alhaj Md. Shahjahan Fakir was present as the chief guest at the prayer and cold clothes distribution ceremony.

Special guests included former Organizing Secretary of Barmi Union BNP Abul Hossain, former Vice President Mahmudul Hasan, former Joint Secretary Farhad Fakir, former Publicity Secretary of Sreepur Upazila BNP Jashim Uddin, former President of Barmi Union Ward 2 BNP Rahim Kaya, former President of Ward 3 BNP Aftab Uddin Morol, former General Secretary Sharif Morol, former General Secretary of Ward 5 BNP Jahangir Alam.

Also present were Al-Amin Akand, Member Secretary of Gazipur District Weavers’ Party, Abu Sayeed Khoka, Senior Joint Convener of Gazipur District Weavers’ Party, former President of Barmi Union Jubo Dal Saiful Islam, and leaders of Barmi Union BNP and its affiliates and associate organizations.

It is worth noting that under the guidance of former Sreepur Upazila BNP President Alhaj Md. Shahjahan Fakir, Roknozzaman Russell Morol has also conducted various humanitarian activities during the Corona pandemic, including distributing food items to more than three hundred people and building houses for the helpless.
