A drug dealer with four kilograms of marijuana was arrested in Netrakona
The Narcotics Control Department has arrested a drug dealer with four kilograms and one hundred grams of marijuana in a special anti-drug operation in Hanskanda village of Kendua upazila.
Assistant Director of the Netrakona Narcotics Control Department Md. Nazmul Haque told reporters that based on a secret tip-off, a team led by Inspector Md. Al Amin of the Narcotics Control Department conducted a special anti-drug operation at the house of Abul Kashem of Hanskanda village of Goradoba union of Kendua upazila around 9 pm on Monday and recovered four kilograms and one hundred grams of marijuana from his house.
Abul Kashem (53) was arrested for his involvement in drug trafficking at that time. The arrested Abul Kashem is the son of the deceased Gias Uddin of Hanskanda village.
Sub-Inspector Nazmul Huda filed a case against the arrested Abul Kashem under the Narcotics Control Act at Kendua Police Station.
When he was presented in court on Tuesday afternoon, the learned judge refused to grant him bail and ordered him to be sent to jail.
