On December 28, 2025, considering the extreme severity of the winter, Chittagong DC & DM Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah himself appeared late at night and distributed blankets to the helpless, poor, disabled and homeless people living on various streets of the city.

A total of 500 blankets were distributed tonight in this humanitarian initiative to ease the suffering of freezing people, according to a press release.

As part of the winter clothing distribution program, the Deputy Commissioner distributed blankets to the stranded people residing in DC Hill, Kazir Deuri, CRB, Railway Station area, Shilpakala Academy adjacent areas and Mehedibagh area of ​​Chittagong city from last night 11 to night 1 am of 29 December.

At this time, the Deputy Director Local Government (DDLG), Additional Deputy Commissioners, District Relief and Rehabilitation Officers and senior officials of the district administration were present and supervised the overall activities.
