Arif ul Islam Mridha is an independent candidate in Narsingdi-3 constituency
Arif ul Islam Mridha, member secretary of Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan Parishad and former upazila chairman, has announced that he will contest the 13th National Parliament election as an independent candidate from the Narsingdi-3 constituency from Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan Parishad as the posthumous expulsion order against former BNP Secretary General Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan was not withdrawn.
He announced this decision at a view-sharing meeting organized by Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan Parishad at Dhanua Ground adjacent to Government Shaheed Asad College on Saturday (December 27) afternoon.
Arif ul Islam Mridha said, I have been demanding the withdrawal of the posthumous expulsion order against former minister and former BNP Secretary General Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan.
But the BNP leaders did not pay attention to the matter. Therefore, in view of the demands of the leaders and activists of Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan Parishad, I have decided to run as an independent candidate in the upcoming 13th National Parliament election.
Under the chairmanship of freedom fighter Abdul Hai Gazi, former VP of Shibpur Government Shaheed Asad College Rafiqul Islam Rabbani and leaders of Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan Parishad from various unions delivered speeches.
