6 Rohingya terrorists arrested with bullets in special police operation in Ramu

Six Rohingya terrorists have been arrested with two rounds of G-4 rifle bullets in a special police operation in Ramu, Cox’s Bazar.

They were arrested from Pinebagan area of ​​Khuniapalong Union on Ramu-Marichya road on Friday (December 26) afternoon.

The operation was conducted under the direction of Cox’s Bazar District Police under the leadership of newly appointed Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ramu Police Station Monirul Islam Bhuiyan.

Additional Superintendent of Police Alok Biswas of the District Police said that at approximately 2:40 pm, a temporary check post was set up in the area and a passenger CNG autorickshaw was searched.

At that time, two rounds of G-4 rifle bullets were recovered from the passenger Md. Alam (35).

Later, five more people in the car were arrested.

Md. Alam (35), Enayetur Rahman (20), Nabi Hosn (44), Md. Rafiq (37), Md. Amin (25) and Khair Hosn (37). They are all residents of different Rohingya camps in Ukhia and Teknaf.

Police said that during initial interrogation, the arrested admitted to being involved in carrying illegal weapons and ammunition for a long time. They are active members of a camp-based terrorist group.

Ramu Police Station OC Monirul Islam Bhuiyan said that a case is under process against the arrested under the existing law.

He also said that the police operation will continue to eradicate illegal weapons, terrorism and drugs in the area.

It is worth noting that since joining Ramu Police Station, significant success has been achieved in the continuous operation led by OC Monirul Islam Bhuiyan against the Rohingya rebel terrorist group. Locals said that this has brought relief to the common people.
