Drug dealer arrested with huge quantity of Yaba in Teknaf
The Bangladesh Coast Guard has arrested a drug dealer with 60 thousand pieces of Yaba worth about 3 crore taka in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.
On Monday (December 22, 2025) noon, Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq confirmed this information.
He said that based on secret intelligence information, on December 22, at approximately 3 am on Monday, a special operation team of Coast Guard Station Teknaf conducted an operation in the char area adjacent to Sabrang Katabunia under Teknaf police station in Cox’s Bazar district.
During the operation, a drug dealer was arrested red-handed while smuggling Yaba through the said area with 60 thousand pieces of Yaba worth about 3 crore taka.
He said that further legal action is under process regarding the arrested drug traffickers and seized Yaba.
Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq also said that Bangladesh Coast Guard will continue such operations in the future to prevent drug trafficking in the coastal and border areas of the country.
