In an effort to share the joy of the festival with various communities in the hilly region on the occasion of Christmas,a humanitarian assistance program initiated by the Bandarban Army Zone has been completed (Phase 2).As part of this, cash financial assistance was handed over to the Christian public and church and club representatives who attended the ceremony at the Bandarban Army Zone Training Ground on Sunday (December 21) afternoon.Bandarban Zone Commander Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Humayun Rashid,PSC,attended the event as the chief guest and handed over cash assistance to the beneficiaries.

At the time,the Zone Commander said, “Bandarban Zone is providing these greeting gifts to ensure that Christmas,the biggest religious festival of Christians,can be celebrated happily.” We wish you a Merry Christmas filled with peace,love and compassion.May you all celebrate Christmas together.Bandarban Zone will be there for you in the future as well as in the past.At this time,Zone Commander wished everyone a Merry Christmas.On this day,more than three hundred underprivileged families,including churches and clubs were given gifts including cash.

Senior army officers including the Deputy Commander of the Zone,Major Nafiu Siddiqui Roman and journalists from various print and electronic media along with beneficiaries from different neighborhoods were present at the event.The program concluded with the formal handover of grants and distribution of various items to the beneficiaries and a spirit of mutual goodwill and celebration. Meanwhile,the beneficiaries present welcomed this kind of humanitarian initiative of the Bangladesh Army.
