The district administration, Technical Training Center (TTC), Employment and Manpower Office and Probasi Kalyan Bank jointly organized various events under the theme of ‘We will take our skills abroad, we will build the country with remittances’.

On the occasion of the day, a colorful rally started from the Deputy Commissioner’s office at 10 am and ended at the TTC office after circumambulating important roads of the city. Later, a ‘Probasi Mela’ was inaugurated there.

Deputy Commissioner Md. Saifur Rahman spoke as the chief guest at the discussion meeting, chaired by Technical Training Center Acting Principal Engineer Gias Uddin Ahmed, and Superintendent of Police Md. Tariqul Islam spoke as the special guest at the event.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Md. Wahiduzzaman, Additional Superintendent of Police Sajal Kumar Sarkar, Assistant Director of the District Employment and Manpower Department Md. Lehaz Uddin, along with officials of various banks and returnee workers, spoke. The program was moderated by TTC Instructor Saidur Rahman.

At the discussion meeting, the speakers emphasized the importance of sending remittances through legal channels and sending skilled workers abroad.
