Nomination papers have been collected for public leader Maulana Obaidullah Salafi, the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s nominated MP candidate for the upcoming National Assembly elections in Nilphamari-3 (Jaldhaka). Nomination papers were officially collected from the offices of the Jaldhaka Upazila Executive Officer and Assistant Returning Officer at 3 pm on Wednesday. At that time, District Jamaat-e-Islami Working Committee member Lecturer Sader Hossain, Upazila Jamaat Nayeb-e-Amir Kamaruzzaman, Upazila Secretary Moammar Al Hasan, Assistant Secretary Mujahid Masum, and upazila and union level leaders and activists were present.
After collecting the nomination papers, Jamaat leaders said that Maulana Obaidullah Salafi has been nominated by the party with the aim of realizing the rights of the common people of Nilphamari-3 constituency, establishing good governance and building a corruption-free society. They said that this candidate will be able to play an effective role in implementing realistic development plans in the education, health, agriculture and employment sectors of Jaldhaka Upazila. At this time, the leaders called on the party leaders and activists to strengthen their field-level organizational activities and announced to make the upcoming election campaign more dynamic. They expressed hope that a just and public welfare politics will be established in Nilphamari-3 constituency through the spontaneous support of the common people.
