A reception was held at Cox’s Bazar Government College to honor officials of the BCS (General Education) cadre who have recently been promoted. The program took place on December 14, 2025, organized by the Teachers’ Council of the college, where the promoted officials were welcomed with floral greetings and congratulations.

The event was attended by the Honorable Principal of the college, Professor Mohang Amirul Anwar Chowdhury, along with the Secretary of the Teachers’ Council and Head of the Department of History, Muhammad Ullah. Heads of various departments and faculty members of the college were also present on the occasion.

Among the promoted officials, Professor Mofidul Alam, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Physics, has been promoted to the rank of Professor. Additionally, the following officials have been promoted from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor: Sheikh Didarul Alam of the Department of Accounting, Aminul Islam of the Department of Mathematics, and Mohammad Kasem of the Department of Physics.

Speakers at the event congratulated the promoted teachers and stated that their merit, dedication, and academic contributions would play an even more significant role in enhancing the quality of education and research at the college. In response, the promoted officials expressed their gratitude to the Teachers’ Council and the college administration.
