Army takes full responsibility for 2 children burnt from a remote area of Thanchi
The Bangladesh Army extended a helping hand to two burnt children living in Jarulchhari Para in the remote Thanchi Upazila of Bandarban.Sources said that two children from the Mro community living in Jarul Chhari Para under Thanchi Upazila of Bandarban district were seriously injured in a fire.The matter became known on social media on Sunday (December 14) morning.
Meanwhile,after such news was published on social media,the matter came to the attention of Brigadier General S M Raquib Ibne Rezwan,afwc,psc,commander of the army’s 69th Infantry Brigade.
He took the matter seriously and instructed Major Parvez Rahman,GSO-2 (Int) of the 69th Infantry Brigade,to provide immediate treatment to two injured burn victims from the remote Thanchi Upazila.Later,Major Parvez Rahman,GSO-2 of the 69th Infantry Brigade,admitted the two burned children to the 7th Field Ambulance (MDS) Hospital in Bandarban Sadar in an ambulance with the financial support of the 69th Infantry Brigade.
Khamlai Mro,a member of the Bandarban Hill District Council and a resident of Thanchi Upazila,provided advice and assistance in this activity.Later,MDS specialist doctors started treating the two burned children.At this time,both of them were admitted to the hospital on an emergency basis and kept under close observation.two burnt are Paongi Mro (5),son of Parau Mro and Tarm Mro (5 months) son of Menwai Mro.Major Shahreen Jahan,Chief of 7 Field Ambulance,Bandarban said, “The current condition of the children is very critical.
We have kept them under close observation.” Meanwhile,Mohammad Sarfaraz Haider, Commander of 7th Field Ambulance Bandarban,visited the burn victims to inquire about their physical condition and inspect the medical activities.Major Parvez Rahman,GSO-2 of the 69th Infantry Brigade, said that treatment and all necessary assistance will be ensured for the burnt children as per the instructions of the regional commander.Local residents have welcomed such a noble initiative by the army.
