Police will be fully prepared to ensure peaceful and fair elections – Superintendent of Police
“The Cox’s Bazar District Police will be fully prepared to ensure the upcoming 13th National Parliament Elections are peaceful, acceptable and impartial,” said Mr. A.N.M. Sajedur Rahman, Superintendent of Police of Cox’s Bazar District.
He said these things while visiting Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station, Ramu Police Station, Ukhia Police Station and Hoi Kyung Police Outpost on Saturday (December 13).
During the inspection, the Superintendent of Police observed the overall activities of the concerned units, law and order situation, security arrangements and quality of citizen services.
The Superintendent of Police said that a stronger role should be played in crime prevention, anti-drug operations and recovery of illegal weapons.
At the same time, he emphasized on making people-oriented and service-oriented policing activities more effective to gain the trust of the people.
He further said that police personnel at all levels should perform their duties with utmost caution and professionalism to prevent any untoward situation arising during the elections.
He also directed to strengthen advance preparations and intelligence surveillance to maintain law and order.
Additional Superintendent of Police of Ukhia Circle, Mr. Md. Rakibul Hasan, along with the in-charges of the concerned police stations and police outposts were present at the time.
