Miscreants cut down farmer’s bean garden worth 2 lakh taka in Kendua, Netrakona

A farmer’s family has been psychologically devastated after facing a loss of around 2 lakh taka in this incident. Hundreds of people from the area have gathered near the garden.
Locals who went to the scene said that this unfortunate incident took place on the land of poor Md. Abdus Salam of Chak Sadhak Konapara village of Maska union.It is believed that the miscreants planned this incident on Friday (December 12) night. On Saturday (December 13) early morning, farmer Md. Abdus Salam went to his land like every day.
At that time, he did not think that the bean trees had been cut. But at approximately 9:30 in the morning, he went to the land again and saw that someone or someone had cut down the bean trees on his entire land. We talked about this with farmer Md. Abdus Salam. He said, this land is my deposit. It is not my own land to say that. I earn my living by farming. I have lost about 2 lakh taka. I do not know who or what is involved in this. Upazila Agriculture Officer Ujjwal Saha said on the phone, the matter is not known. It is a very sad incident. We will try to cooperate as much as possible. Especially, some cooperation can be provided through some program or exhibition from the Agriculture Office. Kendua Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Mehedi Maksud said on the phone, the matter is not known. Legal action will be taken if a written complaint is received.
