The Cox’s Bazar regional round of the Bangladesh Physics Olympiad 2026 was held successfully on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM on the campus of Cox’s Bazar Government College.

The event was inaugurated with the presence of the Principal of Cox’s Bazar Government College, Professor Amirul Anwar Chowdhury, who attended as the chief guest and distributed medals and certificates among the winners. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of nurturing scientific thinking among students and called for developing future leadership through the study of physics.

Also present at the event was Professor Mofidul Alam, Regional Coordinator of the Bangladesh Physics Olympiad (Cox’s Bazar region) and Head of the Department of Physics at Cox’s Bazar Government College. He stated that the Olympiad plays a vital role in promoting scientific practice, logical reasoning, and research-oriented thinking among students.

This year, a total of 20 young physicists from the Cox’s Bazar region have been selected to participate in the national-level competition. They will represent Cox’s Bazar district at the upcoming national round to be held in Dhaka.

It is noteworthy that the Bangladesh Physics Olympiad serves as a nationwide platform to identify talented students and prepare them for participation in international-level physics competitions.
