The International Anti-Corruption Day was celebrated in Louhjang, Munshiganj, with the theme of Youth Unity Against Corruption: Building the Purity of the Future.
A human chain and discussion meeting were jointly organized by the Upazila Administration and Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee on Tuesday at 10:30 am.
People from different walks of life participated in the human chain on the main road of the Upazila Parishad office.
Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Farzana Bobby Mitu spoke as the chief guest at the discussion meeting.
Under the chairmanship of Corruption Prevention Committee President Mohammad Kamruzzaman and moderated by Corruption Prevention Committee member Mizanur Rahman Jheel, the organization’s General Secretary Nasir Uddin Ahmed Jewel delivered the welcome speech.
Among others, freedom fighter Tofazzal Hossain, Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee Vice President Mohiuddin Sikder, Vice President Moksed Alam, members Salma Parvez, Ferdous Hilal and Rashed Ahmed were present as guests.
