Discussion meeting titled ‘Come Change the Country, Change the World’ held in Kurigram
A discussion meeting titled ‘Come Change the Country, Change the World’ was held to build a youth-based Bangladesh.
On Tuesday (December 9) at 2 pm, the District Information Office organized a discussion meeting titled ‘Come Change the Country, Change the World’ to build a youth-based Bangladesh at the Kurigram Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Room. People from different classes and professions participated in the meeting.
Kurigram Deputy Commissioner Annapurna Debnath spoke as the chief guest at the discussion meeting.
Among others who spoke at the event were Additional Deputy Commissioner Zakir Hossain, District Information Officer Shahjahan Ali, Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. ANM Golam Mohaimen, District BNP Senior Joint Convener Shafiqul Islam Bebu, Professor Hasibur Rahman, District Jamaat Secretary Nizam Uddin, NCP District Convener Mukul Mia, District Convener of the Anti-Discrimination Movement Abdul Aziz Nahid, United Press Club Convener Rashidul Islam Rashed, among others.
District BNP Senior Joint Convener Professor Shafiqul Islam Bebu said, “The youth led the language movement of 1952, the war of 1971, the anti-dictatorship movement and the mass movement of 24, freeing the country from fascism.
But unfortunately, political parties have used the youth to come to power and deceived them.
No one has kept their word despite talking about working for the development of the youth.
At the discussion meeting, the chief guest, Kurigram Deputy Commissioner Annapurna Debnath, said, “As a result of the mass uprising of 24, the youth are being valued in all fields today.
Which is a matter of good fortune for the youth. The youth will build the country and change the world.” He also said that such an exceptional initiative of the District Information Office deserves praise. There has never been such an organization in the past. We want this trend to continue to advance the youth.”
