Moulvibazar Liberation Day was observed with due dignity on December 8. On this day in 1971, Moulvibazar district was liberated from the Pakistani invaders.
On the occasion of the day, tributes were paid to the brave martyrs who died in the great liberation war at the Central Shaheed Minar and Moulvibazar Mass Grave on Monday morning.
On behalf of Moulvibazar District Police, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Billal Hossain placed wreaths at the Shaheed Minar and Mass Grave.
After paying tribute, he participated in a special prayer seeking forgiveness for the souls of the brave martyrs.
Later, he joined the discussion meeting on Liberation Day organized at the office of the Deputy Commissioner.
