Miscreants launched an armed attack on the car of customs officer Asaduzzaman in Chittagong. The terrorists broke the glass of the private car with country-made weapons.

Later, the terrorists shouted to each other, “Shoot, shoot,” Asaduzzaman. the driver increased the accelerator of the car & narrowly escaped with life.

The incident took place in the Agrabad area on Thursday (December 4) at 10 am.

The victim of the attack, Asaduzzaman, is a revenue officer of the Chittagong Customs House.

Chittagong Customs House spokesperson and Deputy Commissioner HM Kabir confirmed the matter.
He said that the attack took place in the Agrabad area on his way back to the Customs House after completing official work at an office in Jamburi Park, Agrabad, Chittagong. Four-five terrorists on motorcycles first ambushed the car with country-made weapons. Then they shouted to each other, “Shoot, shoot.” Asaduzzaman narrowly escaped death as the driver immediately increased the speed of the car.

This officer had already been aware of such an attack. He had received a phone call on his mobile phone threatening to kill him, so he filed a GD with the Bandar Police Station on October 6.
He mentioned a mobile number in this regard.
We spoke to SI Zahid Hasan Shanto about this matter and he told The Daily Morning Glory, “We are working on the mobile number found in the GD. When asked if the mobile number is a registered mobile number, he said that it is definitely a registered number. It has been going on for the past one month. We cannot say much for the sake of investigation.
When asked if he knew about the attack today, he said, “I came to know about it through your news.”

Customs officer Asaduzzaman said that a complaint has been filed with Doublemooring Police Station in this regard. OC Babul Azad could not be reached by calling his mobile phone to inquire about any progress in this regard.
