Large quantity of ammunition and local firearms seized in Teknaf
A large quantity of ammunition and local firearms have been seized in a joint operation by the Teknaf Coast Guard and the Navy in Cox’s Bazar. On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq said that on Wednesday, December 3, at 5 am, a joint operation was conducted in the area adjacent to the Konapara Salt Field under Teknaf Police Station in Cox’s Bazar.
During the operation, 9 rounds of live ammunition, 2 rounds of live cartridges, 7 rounds of blank cartridges, 13 rounds of blank cases, 2 local explosives, 2 local weapons and 3 local firearms were seized from the area. At this time, it was not possible to arrest anyone as the terrorists fled after sensing the presence of the joint forces. Coast Guard intelligence surveillance and operations are ongoing to arrest them. The process of taking further legal action on the seized evidence is under process. He also said that Bangladesh Coast Guard will continue such operations in the future to eradicate terrorist activities.
