A doa and milad mahfil was held in Sreepur to pray for the recovery and well-being of BNP Chairperson and three-time former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
The event was organized on Monday (December 1) at 4:30 pm at the premises of the Sreepur Model Mosque by the initiative of the Sreepur Upazila and Municipal Krishak Dal.
BNP National Executive Committee’s Joint Health Affairs Secretary and BNP nominated candidate for Gazipur-3 constituency, Professor Dr. SM Rafiqul Islam Bachchu, was present as the chief guest at the doa and milad mahfil.
Sreepur Upazila Krishak Dal Convener Lecturer Dr. Mujahidul Kabir presided over the event, among others, Sreepur Upazila BNP Convener Abdul Motaleb, Member Secretary Khairul Kabir Mondal Azad, Gazipur District Krishak Dal Convener SM Abul Kalam Azad, Sreepur Municipality BNP Joint Convener Anwar Hossain Bepari, Sreepur Municipality Krishak Dal Convener Shahjahan Mia, Sreepur Upazila Krishak Dal Member Secretary Humayun Kabir, Sreepur Municipality Krishak Dal Member Secretary Rahat Hasan Jewel and leaders, activists and supporters of various party units were present. After the Milad Mahfil, Sreepur Municipality Ulama Dal President Qari Md. Ibrahim led the prayers for the improvement of Begum Khaleda Zia’s physical condition and recovery from illness.
