The internal Aman paddy and rice collection drive for the 2025-26 fiscal year has been inaugurated in Sariakandi, Bogura.

On Thursday (November 27) morning, Upazila Executive Officer Sibbir Ahmed inaugurated the paddy-rice collection drive as the chief guest at the Upazila Food Warehouse premises.

Present at the time were Assistant Commissioner (Land) Atiqur Rahman, Upazila Agriculture Officer Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Upazila Food Controller Mohammad Abu Samrat Khan, Officer-in-Charge of Food Warehouse (OC LSD) Rashedul Islam, Upazila Rice Mill Owner President Mozammel Haque, General Secretary Nurul Islam and local journalists.

This year, the upazila food warehouse has set a target of collecting 138 metric tons of paddy at 34 taka per kg and 648 metric tons of parboiled rice at 50 taka per kg from millers.

This collection drive will continue till February 28 next year.
