BNP leaders and activists who were victims of lawsuits,attacks,imprisonment, oppression and various forms of torture by the Awami League government have been honored.This Mementos was presented by Saching Prue Jerry the BNP nominated candidate for Bandarban-300 constituency, to honor BNP leaders and activists.Prince Saching Prue Jerry handed over the award at a ceremony held at the Bandarban Hillview Convention Hall on Thursday (November 27).
At the event today,750 leaders and activists who were victims of lawsuits,attacks, torture and harassment from 7 upazilas of Bandarban were presented with commemorative mementos.Addressing the leaders and activists, Saching Prue Jerry said, “The sacrifice and courage of the leaders and activists,who have been victims of lawsuits,attacks,imprisonment and torture for 17 years are the main driving force of BNP’s democratic movement.”The role of the organization must be kept strong and solid to face future political challenges and everyone must continue to work unitedly.
Bandarban District BNP Senior Joint Convener Professor Osman Gani,Joint Conveners Mujibur Rashid,Abdul Mabud, Convening Committee Member Sabiqur Rahman (Juwel),District Women’s Party President Kazi Nirutaj Begum and other leaders were present at the time.Special prayers were offered for the speedy recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia at the event.Leaders and activists of local BNP,jubadal,Chhatra Dal and its affiliated organizations participated in the event which was organized in a peaceful atmosphere.
