The Bangladesh Army has provided humanitarian assistance to the Bawm members returnees to Bandarban.This humanitarian aid was provided at the Army Zone premises on Wednesday (November 26) at the initiative of Bandarban Zone. Commander of Bandarban Zone,Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Humayun Rashid,PSC, was present as the chief guest.On this day, 26 Bawm members were provided with various food items including rice,pulses, salt,oil,potatoes and onions.Bawm members welcomed such an initiative to provide humanitarian assistance.
At that time,Zone Commander Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Humayun Rashid,PSC, said, “Members of the Bangladesh Army are working tirelessly to ensure security in the hilly areas.”Besides,the army is playing an effective role in peace, harmony and various development activities.All the returning Bawm people will be provided with comprehensive assistance from the Bandarban Zone.
During this time,the Zone Commander exchanged greetings with the returning members and inquired about their well-being.He also expressed his commitment to be by their side in any need,including legal assistance.Major ASM Maidul Islam,Zonal Staff Officer of Sadar Zone,Members of the Bawm Citizen and journalists from various print and electronic media were present during the distribution of humanitarian aid.
