Inception Meeting of “Let’s Learn to Read (LLR)” Intervention Held in Chapainawabganj
The inception meeting for the “Let’s Learn to Read (LLR)” intervention was held on 25 November 2025 at the District Model Mosque in Chapainawabganj, bringing together Government Primary School head teachers, assistant teachers, and members of school ad hoc committees. Jnanttor Chakma, Senior Manager – Program Operations of Food for the Hungry (FH) Bangladesh, opened the event with welcome remarks and an overview of the meeting objectives. Following this, Nusrat Bintey Haider, Productive Learning Specialist, presented the core components of the LLR intervention and highlighted FH Bangladesh’s broader education initiatives. Participants expressed strong appreciation for the initiative, acknowledging its alignment with national education priorities. Chief Guest Md. Saiful Islam, District Primary Education Officer (DPEO) of Chapainawabganj, commended FH Bangladesh for its commitment to supporting government efforts. He assured full cooperation for successful implementation and encouraged teachers to utilize the intervention to make classroom learning more engaging and effective for vulnerable learners. Special guests included Md. Abdur Razzak, ADPEO; Md. Nadiruzzaman, ADPEO; Kanchon Kumar Das, Social Service Officer of Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila; and Assistant Upazila Education Officers of Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila. The event was designed and coordinated by Repon Kisko, Area Program Manager; William George Tudu, Program Coordinator; and the FH Chapainawabganj Area Program team. The meeting was presided over by the Upazila Education Officer, Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila.
