2 drug peddlers arrested with Yaba in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar
Two drug dealers with 90 thousand yaba were arrested in a separate operation by RAB-15 in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.
The operation was conducted in the Mithapanirchhara area of Ward No. 1 of Sadar Union under Teknaf Model Police Station on Saturday (November 25, 2025) morning.
RAB-15 said that since its establishment, the organization has been continuously conducting intelligence surveillance and operations to suppress terrorism, arms and drug smuggling.
Since Cox’s Bazar is a border district, special activities are being carried out in coordination with the intelligence wing of RAB headquarters as drug and arms dealers are more active.
In continuation of this, RAB-15 conducted a drive in the Mithapanirchhara area on the basis of secret information received from the CPC-1 (Teknaf Camp) Secret Service early Saturday morning. At that time, a group of drug dealers were preparing to smuggle a large consignment of Yaba. During the operation, two people were arrested along with 90 thousand pieces of Yaba and two button phones.
The arrested drug dealers are Abdullah (27), son of Abdur Rahim of Mithapani Chha area of Teknaf, and Anwara Begum (35), wife of Syed Ahmed of the same area.
Further legal action is being taken against the arrested accused along with the recovered Yaba.
