Ramu Police Station arrested a retail yaba dealer red-handed during a drive in Ramu, Cox’s Bazar, along with 52 pieces of yaba tablets, 1700 taka in cash for selling yaba and 2 smart mobile phones.

He was arrested from the east side of the Ramu Chaumuhani Khijari Government High School grounds on Sunday (November 23) evening.

The arrested retail yaba dealer is named Md. Morshed Alam (Prakash) Giandar (38).

According to Ramu Police Station sources, Sub-Inspector (SI) (Retd) Mohammad Anwar Mobile 5(1) conducted a drive at the place based on a secret tip-off while on daytime duty.

At that time, Morshed Alam was arrested while selling Yaba and 52 pieces of Yaba tablets, cash of 1700/= Taka and 2 smart mobile phones used for selling drugs were recovered from him.

The recovered goods have been seized at the price of the seized list.

Ramu Police Station authorities said that the process of filing a case against the arrested accused under the Narcotics Control Act is underway. This police operation against drugs and drug dealers will continue.
