Naikhongchari Battalion (11 BGB) under Ramu Sector of Cox’s Bazar region conducted separate raids in the hilly areas along the border and seized various Bangladeshi goods including Burmese cattle.
This information was given in a press release sent by the battalion on Monday (November 24, 2025). The release said that in the last 24 hours, based on intelligence information, the patrol team of Lembuchhari BOP, Bhalukhai BOP and battalion headquarters of Naikhongchari Battalion conducted raids in the border area. Sensing the presence of BGB, the smugglers fled leaving behind the Burmese cattle and goods.
During the operation, 4 Burmese cows and Bangladeshi testing salts, chips, mosquito coils, spray machine parts and various types of electronic equipment were seized. The estimated value of these items is estimated at 12 lakh 62 thousand 4 hundred taka. The BGB said that the battalion has been professionally performing its duties in suppressing smuggling, drug trafficking, illegal infiltration and various inter-state crimes in the border areas. Such operations will continue in the future.
