Aman collection 2025-26 inaugurated in Dinajpur under proper management

On Thursday, November 20 at 3 pm, the collection drive was inaugurated at Pulhat LSD food warehouse in Dinajpur district Sadar, known as the grain warehouse, by Sadar Upazila Food Controller Md. Zahirul Haque, Acting Food Officer Md. Maidul Islam and leaders of the respected mill owners’ association. Hafez Maulana Md. Khairul Islam offered prayers at the inauguration ceremony. Then, the respected mill owners’ leaders cut the ribbon at the CSD food warehouse and inaugurated the aman collection. Sadar Upazila Food Controller Md. Zahirul Haque, Assistant Manager of CSD’s warehouse Md. Delwar Hossain and other officers and employees of the warehouse were present at the time. According to the relevant sources, the government has set a target of collecting 6 lakh metric tons of parboiled rice and 50 thousand metric tons of paddy across the country in the current fiscal year 2025-26. Accordingly, the target of collecting Aman in Dinajpur district in the current fiscal year 2025-26 is 58101 metric tons of parboiled rice, 2661 metric tons of paddy. The Aman collection drive will continue from November 20 to February 28, ’26. The contract period for the mill owners to collect Aman has been fixed from November 12 to December 4, 2025. This time the government has fixed the price of Aman collection at 50 taka per kg for parboiled rice and 34 taka per kg for paddy. Targets have been set in 13 upazilas including Dinajpur Sadar for the convenience of collecting Aman. Among them, 23708 MT of cooked rice and 274 MT of paddy were produced in Dinajpur Sadar. 4820 MT of cooked rice and 292 MT of paddy were produced in Birole Upazila, 11342 MT of cooked rice and 170 MT of paddy were produced in Bochaganj Upazila, 429 MT of cooked rice and 156 MT of paddy were produced in Kaharol Upazila, 1589 MT of cooked rice and 307 MT of paddy were produced in Birganj Upazila, 717 MT of cooked rice and 141 MT of paddy were produced in Khansama Upazila, 4768 MT of cooked rice and 239 MT of paddy were produced in Chirirbandar Upazila, 2101 MT of cooked rice and 293 MT of paddy were produced in Parbatipur Upazila. Tons, 3972 MT of cooked rice and 186 MT of paddy in Phulbari Upazila, 2089 MT of cooked rice and 177 MT of paddy in Birampur Upazila, 207 MT of cooked rice and 84 MT of paddy in Hakimpur Upazila, 1575 MT of cooked rice and 224 MT of paddy in Nawabganj Upazila and 784 MT of cooked rice and 118 MT of paddy in Ghoraghat Upazila. The target was set. The source further said that against the collection of Aman, there are 173 autos and 703 huskings in Dinajpur for contractual mills. Among them, there are 91 autos and 41 husking mills in Sadar, 10 autos and 127 husking mills in Biral, 34 autos and 78 husking mills in Bochaganj, 1 auto and 20 husking mills in Kaharole, 3 autos and 63 husking mills in Birganj, 1 auto and 63 husking mills in Khansama, 9 autos and 67 husking mills in Chirirbandar, 9 autos and 21 husking mills in Parbatipur, 9 autos and 55 husking mills in Phulbari, 3 autos and 34 husking mills in Birampur, 15 husking mills in Hakimpur, 3 autos and 51 husking mills in Nawabganj and 68 husking mills in Ghoraghat. It is also known that there are a total of 26 food warehouses including CSD in 13 upazila areas including Dinajpur Sadar. The general capacity of the 26 food warehouses in the district is 91 thousand MT and the maximum capacity is 1 lakh 18 thousand 300 MT. It is to be noted that 10% of the total target of parboiled rice and 5% of paddy in the country is collected from Dinajpur district.
