Workshop titled ‘Role of Tourism Journalism in Improving the Tourism Industry’
A day-long workshop titled ‘Role of Tourism Journalism in Improving the Tourism Industry’ was held in Sreemangal, one of the country’s tourist cities. On Saturday (November 22) at 11 am, the workshop organized by the Sreemangal Upazila Administration and Bangladesh Tourism Board was attended as the chief guest by Saleha Binte Siraj, Director (Joint Secretary) of Bangladesh Tourism Board. Sreemangal Upazila Executive Officer Md. Islam Uddin presided over the workshop, while Bangladesh Tourism Board Deputy Director Mohibul Islam, Sreemangal Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Mohibullah Akon and others were present as special guests. The guests said that tourism journalists can further advance the country’s tourism industry by presenting accurate information-based reports, quality features and positive stories.
Local journalists, tourism entrepreneurs and concerned students participated in the workshop. Media workers working in various print and electronic media participated in the workshop.
