Narju Begum, a reserved female member of the area, has filed a complaint against Nuh Islam to various departments, alleging various irregularities and corruption, including hiring teachers outside the rules, bringing salary bills to the MPO through fraud, forming a committee by forging the signature of the then Upazila Executive Officer Mousumi Haque, embezzling all income including tuition fee money, selling computers and laptops provided by the government. Nuh Islam is the superintendent of Bherbheri Kamal Uddin Dakhil Madrasa in Kishoreganj Upazila of Nilphamari.

In view of that complaint, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer formed an investigation committee headed by the Upazila Secondary Education Officer. Although it was instructed to submit an investigation report within 15 working days, the investigation committee has not submitted a report even in the last three months. As a result, various questions are being raised in the minds of the local people about the investigation report.

It is known that when the movement against the deposed autocratic government was at its peak, on February 27, Superintendent Nuh Islam hastily and secretly appointed Ziaur Rahman as an assistant teacher in exchange for a large sum of money. The locals and even the teachers of the madrasa do not know anything about this appointment.

He has brought the salary bill to the MPO through fraud, formed the managing committee by forging the signature of the then Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mousumi Haque, and embezzled all the income including tuition fee money. Meanwhile, he has been committing various irregularities and corruption including selling the computers and laptops provided by the government. He has not stopped doing these corruptions and irregularities. From January 1-25 to July 17-25, Assistant Teacher Ziaur Rahman has withdrawn a bill of 95,250 taka without a signature in the teacher’s attendance book and without an investigation report even after submitting the attendance book report. Complainant Narju Begum said, Super Nuh Islam has been committing various irregularities and corruptions including hiring teachers outside the rules. I filed written complaints against these irregularities and corruptions with various concerned departments on June 2-25.

When I complained, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer formed a 3-member committee headed by the Secondary Education Officer Ashrafuzzaman. They started delaying the committee’s report. The 15-day instruction is not being implemented even after three months.

Madrasa Super Nuh Islam said, I will call you in the evening.

When I spoke to the Upazila Secondary Education Officer, the head of the investigation team, about this, he said that I received the complaint and am the head of the investigation committee. But the Madrasa Super has applied for an extension of time twice so far in writing, so I could not submit the report on time.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Pritam Saha said, I will talk to the Upazila Secondary Education Officer, the head of the investigation team, about this.
