RAB special operation arrests 2 with huge quantity of Yaba in Cox’s Bazar
RAB-15 conducted a successful special operation in the Uttar Sonar Para area of Jaliapalong Union under Ukhia Police Station of Cox’s Bazar district and arrested two drug peddlers with 89,905 pieces of Yaba. According to RAB sources, drug smuggling and arms dealers are active in the area as Cox’s Bazar is a border area.
RAB-15 is conducting regular intelligence surveillance and operations to prevent these activities. During the operation, with the assistance of RAB Headquarters and CPC-2 (Huaykyang Camp) Intelligence Branch, information was received that some drug peddlers had kept a large consignment of Yaba in the Uttar Sonar Para area for smuggling. After that, an operation team of RAB-15 conducted an operation at the said place. Along with this, two drug peddlers were arrested. RAB-15 commander Alamin Faruk said that further legal action is under process against the arrested persons along with the recovered Yaba. RAB also said that its operations to prevent drug and arms smuggling will continue.
