Shrestha-Sakib Takes the Charge of Anuprash at Comilla University
The Anuprash–Voice Art Centre of Comilla University, a cultural organization dedicated to vocal excellence, has announced its 8th Executive Committee.
In the newly formed committee, Amina Kabir Shrestha, a student of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism (Session 2021–22), has been elected as president, while Najmus Sakib, a student of the Department of Economics (Session 2021–22), has been chosen as general secretary.
The new committee was announced on Thursday (November 13) at a ceremony attended by the organization’s advisors. Present at the event were Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman, professor of English; Dr. G. M. Moniruzzaman, professor of Bangla; Dr. Muhammad Sohrab Uddin, associate professor of Archaeology; Hasena Begum, assistant professor of Anthropology; and Saida Talukdar Rahi, assistant professor of Law.
The newly formed committee also includes Saima Akter and Md. Tahmid Shanto as vice presidents, while Rakiba Halim and Kaniz Fatema Rimi have been appointed as joint general secretaries. Other executive members are Niloy Sarker and Jannatul Ferdous Maunta as organizing secretaries, Sadia Naushin Oishi as finance secretary, Farha Khanom as office secretary, Farhad Kawsar as communication secretary, Ishtiaq Ahmed Shanto as publicity secretary, Sohel Ahmed as information and technology secretary, Jakia Sultana as publication and composition secretary, Purni Akter as reading circle secretary, and Diya Afroze as hospitality and event secretary.
In her first speech as president, Amina Kabir Shrestha said that Anuprash is not limited to recitation alone; it helps students improve their presentation, pronunciation, and overall communication skills. She added that just as she received guidance from her seniors, she would strive to support the newcomers and work together to move the organization forward.
The newly elected executive committee will serve for the next one year.
