A farewell reception was held in Kotalipara for the transfer of Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate Muhammad Kamruzzaman (Joint Secretary) due to his promotion.
On this occasion, the Upazila administration organized a grand ceremony at the Upazila Parishad Hallroom “Lal Shapla” on Wednesday (November 12) afternoon.
The proud parents, wife and children of the Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner, who was recently transferred as the Managing Director of the Khulna Divisional WASA Department, were also present.
The family members also became emotional as they participated in the ceremony to give farewell reception to the Deputy Commissioner on behalf of the people of all walks of life in the Upazila.
The said farewell reception was presided over by Kotalipara Upazila Executive Officer Sagufta Haque.
At this time, Kotalipara Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Masum Billah, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khandaker Hafizur Rahman, Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Mridul Kumar Das, Senior Fisheries Officer Shajahan Siraj, Women’s Affairs Officer Srimoyi Bagchi, Assistant Engineer Rajib Kumar Bhakta, BRDB Officer Abu Taher Helal, Journalist- Ratan Sen Konkan, Gaurang Lal Das, Maulana Ilias Hossain, Tehsildar Jahangir Hossain, Lecturer Krishna Biswas, Headmaster Himanshu Kumar Pandey, Village Police Employees Union President Fayequzzaman Sheikh and others.
Assistant Commissioner Md. Ataur Rahman, officials and employees of various departments of the upazila, leaders and workers of various political parties, members of the Union Parishad, teachers, journalists, village police and other dignitaries of the area were present.
Later, on behalf of the upazila administration, Upazila Executive Officer Sagufta Haque, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Masum Billah and Officer-in-Charge Khandaker Hafizur Rahman presented floral greetings and a crest of honor to Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate Muhammad Kamruzzaman, who was promoted to the post of Joint Secretary.
