Tanvir–Rafi Duo Takes Charge of Chauddagram Students’ Association
The new committee of the ‘Chauddagram Students’ Welfare Association of Comilla University (CoU) has been announced. Tanvir Hossain from the Department of Public Administration (2019–20 session) has been appointed as President, while Shahadat Tanvir Rafi from the Department of Marketing (2020–21 session) has been elected as General Secretary.
The 48-member committee was approved on Monday (November 10) through a statement signed by the association’s former President and General Secretary.
The newly formed committee includes Vice Presidents Abdur Rahman, Kamruzzaman, Ripat Hossain, Popi Akter, Ripon Mahmud, and Khadiza Akter. Joint General Secretaries are Mahmud Sakib, Anika Tabassum Sadia, Imran Hossain, Rahat Bhuiyan, and Mahmud Zubair.
Enayet Hossain, Adnan Murad, Taiyeb Towha, Khairun Raha Kulsum, Shahadat Hossain Jamim, Najmus Sakib, Shahrin Sultana Shipa, Afsar Ahmed Vishal, Iftaul Mahmud Shawon, Mahmuda Akter Abrar, Md. Said Ahmed Ripat, Jannatul Ferdous Mimi, and Abdullah Mohin have been appointed as Organizational Secretaries.
Khaled Hossain Mayaz has been named Finance Secretary, with Minhajul Haque as Assistant Finance Secretary. Md. Saber Hossain will serve as Student Welfare Secretary, while Ismail Hossain Jibon and Tamanna Khanom have been appointed as Office Secretary and Assistant Office Secretary respectively.
Imteyaz Evan will serve as Publicity Secretary, with Sadia Rahman Molly as Assistant Publicity Secretary. Sakhawat Arannya and Minhaj Haidar Chowdhury have been appointed Sports Secretary and Assistant Sports Secretary respectively. Israt Jahan Isha will serve as Cultural Secretary, and Arnob Sutradhar as Assistant Cultural Secretary.
The Female Affairs Secretaries are Kazi Samia Akter, Ramisha Jannat, Sadia Afrin, Sadia Akter, and Jannatul Naeem Jelly. Executive Members include Khadizatut Tahira, Omar Fahad, Farvez Mahmud, Nadim Hossain Chowdhury, Tanvin Sultana Anisha, and Imteyaz Ayon.
General Secretary Shahadat Tanvir Rafi said, ‘We, the students from Chauddagram, will work together in unity. We plan to guide school and college students from our area who wish to join the university so that their journey becomes easier. Within the university, we’ll stand by one another through every need and difficulty.’
It is to be noted that this committee will serve for a one-year term.
