RAB-15 raids arrest 18 Rohingyas living illegally outside Ukhia camp
In a separate raid in Cox’s Bazar, RAB-15 has arrested 18 Rohingyas living illegally outside the camp and rescued 3 Rohingya victims of human trafficking.
According to RAB-15 sources, a total of 18 Rohingya refugees, including 12 men and 6 women, living illegally outside the camp were arrested in a special raid in Balukhali Mara Gachtala area of Palangkhali Union under Ukhia Police Station on the night of November 9.
The process of handing over the detainees to Ukhia Police Station to take legal action against them is underway.
On the other hand, on the same night, in another raid in Kachchhpia Boro Dail area of Baharchhara Union under Teknaf Police Station, RAB rescued 3 Rohingya refugees while they were preparing to go to Malaysia by sea.
After the verification of the rescued, the process of handing over to the families and the concerned camp authorities is in progress.
RAB-15 said that such operations will continue to prevent Rohingyas from staying illegally outside the camps and human trafficking.
